PUPILS Program
Paraprofessional Undergraduates Providing Individualized Learning Services
A tutorial program which provides supplemental instructional services to migrant farm workers’ children enrolled in the schools. In order to meet the educational challenges that migrant students face in schooling, it is critical to recruit bilingual and bicultural college and university students, many who have been migrant themselves, to the teaching field. There is a tremendous need for qualified bilingual teachers to serve our rapidly growing migrant student population.
