Access the ParentSquare website by going to parentsquare.com/signin, and using the "Login with Google" button. Make sure to use your PVUSD Google account credentials.

About ParentSquare:
Starting the 2024-25 school year, everyone will use ParentSquare as their main form of communication with families. All teachers will have the classes that are rostered to them in Synergy automatically rostered to them (with parent contact info) in ParentSquare. You will be able to interact with ParentSquare using the app on your mobile device and from your computer on the ParentSquare website.
- Send school-wide alerts using through text messages, emails, and voice calls

Communication to families:
- Parents will receive an activation email for the ParentSquare account, or they can download the app to register. Those who do not register will still receive simple text and email notifications. Parents who do create an account and use the app can interact by viewing photos, downloading attachments, leaving comments, messaging teachers, signing permission slips, and managing their communication settings and preferences.
- Instructions for families to download the app in English and Spanish: This flyer is a great one-pager (front and back) to send home with students and to keep in the front office.
- Poster to encourage downloading the app in English and Spanish: One English poster and one Spanish poster will be provided to each site.

Use this comprehensive troubleshooting guide (with screenshots!) to support parents. A parent must have a valid email address or mobile phone number in Synergy in order to receive ParentSquare communication.
Support with parent accounts:
- Check that the parent has a valid email address and/or phone number in Synergy
- Check that the parent is associated with the correct child(ren) in Synergy
- Ask the parent if they are using the phone number or email address that is in Synergy to create their account in the app
Support with teacher accounts:
- Check that the teacher is using their PVUSD Google account to login to ParentSquare (username and password)
- Check that the teacher has a class rostered to them in Synergy (if they don't, then they won't be able to create posts for families/students)
- Teachers can call the Tech Coaches at 831-786-2488 or email dtic@pvusd.net for account support and to learn how to use the tool
Support with administrator/ staff accounts:
- Check that the staff is using their PVUSD Google account to login to ParentSquare (username and password)
- Submit a help ticket to request a ParentSquare account be created for them
