What is It?

WeVideo is a web-based video editing software that empowers students and teachers to create, communicate and collaborate with video. PVUSD has premium subscriptions available for teachers and students, allowing for additional features such as green screen editing, access to stock media, and Google Classroom integration. February 6, 2024, 4:00-5:00pm	Screencasting for Instruction	Learn how to use WeVideo’s screen capture and webcam recording tools to design instruction for the flipped classroom or blended learning experiences. Educators will get examples of instructional strategies that can be used in creating engaging videos that enhance the instruction in their lessons and units. February 13, 2024, 4:00-5:00pm	Student Podcasting with WeVideo	Turn a traditional writing assignment into a highly-engaging media project! In this session, you’ll learn how to use WeVideo’s voice recorder, stock media library, and audio editing tools to pair a voice recording with music and sound effects to bring a story to life! You’ll also explore resources you can use to design and implement student podcasting projects! These projects are a great way for students to demonstrate understanding of core content, use language and academic vocabulary in an authentic context, and develop content-specific literacy skills while engaging in a creative process and creating work that can be shared with an authentic audience.
