The Summer Technology Institute is a professional development day for teachers being held in the District Office building on Monday, August 4th. Teachers can choose from a variety of in-person sessions, and will receive supplemental pay for their attendance!  If you attend a full day's worth of sessions (9-3:30) you are also eligile to purchase a continuing education credit from the University of Pacific. (Substitute teachers are welcome to attend, however we can't offer supplemental pay for subs- sorry).

Google Vids in the Classroom

Piper Computers (9am-11:45am)

Description: Empower your grades 3-8 students with hands-on STEM! In this session, teachers will build a Piper Computer and tackle engaging coding and circuitry activities. Discover how to integrate these kits to boost computational thinking, problem-solving, and overall student learning. Description: Did you know that Google Classroom has embedded tools to support learning and instruction?  Come to this session to learn about Google Classroom’s Video Activities (add interactive questions to videos), Read Along (read-aloud for students with AI support), and Practice Sets (interactive quizzes). All these tools are accessed from within Google Classroom, and offer lots of customized support for students and instant feedback for you and your students!
