FAMILY CHILD CARE EDUCATION NETWORK (FCCHEN)

FAMILY CHILD CARE EDUCATION NETWORK (FCCHEN)

PVUSD Family Child Care Home Education Network (FCCHEN) is comprised of approximately fifty licensed family childcare homes and is funded by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) and the California Department of Education (CDE) to provide quality subsidized early education and childcare to eligible families. Children are cared for in licensed family childcare homes that meet strict standards for quality set forth by the CDSS and CDE. Once an eligible family completes the enrollment process, Child Development staff work to find a Family Child Care Home in our network that fits the family's needs. Family Child Care Homes in the PVUSD Network are located in Watsonville, Freedom, and Royal Oaks.

Age eligible children may participate in the Family Child Care Home (FCCH) Services from:
  • Birth through 12 years of age based on age and space availability.

Family Child Care Programs offer services Monday-Friday year-round. Families must meet Eligibility and Need Criteria to qualify for services.

For more information you may contact the Family Child Care Line at the Child Development Department by calling 831-728-7893.
